Our Events

Knights of Columbus Meat Sale

Preorder Here

Our council runs a meat sale fundraiser every Labor Day Weekend for the parish and community — offering Boston butts and St. Louis ribs available for order online, with convenient drive-thru and walk-up pickup at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. Its a simple way to support the council while stocking up for a holiday cookout.

Hearts and Hammers

We support this ministry with equipment and volunteers, helping repair and maintain homes for people who can’t otherwise afford it. Our work often includes building wheelchair ramps, modifying bathrooms for accessibility, and other repairs that keep a home safe and livable.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace

We partner with Sleep in Heavenly Peace to build beds for local children and families in need. In a single build day, our council typically completes more than 40 beds, helping provide a safe place to sleep. Our most recent build on May 2nd drew over 75 volunteers and was such a success we ran out of lumber.

Hope for Autumn Foundation

Hope for Autumn Foundation is a home-grown Prince of Peace ministry that supports children battling cancer and their families being treated at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham. Their signature fundraiser, the Crawfish Boil, brings food, live music, and a carnival atmosphere to Ross Bridge on the Green — and our council is proud to support it as both a sponsor and hands-on volunteers.

Festival at Sloss Furnace (Italian-American Festival)

Each year, our council has the honor of providing the Honor Guard for the Procession of Saint Joseph at this beloved Birmingham tradition — a distinction we’ve upheld every year among Catholic churches in the area.

Habitat for Humanity

Our council assists with the construction of homes through Habitat for Humanity, helping build safe, affordable housing for families in our community. We’ve contributed to numerous builds over the years, lending both hands-on labor and support to see each home through to completion.

Pennies from Heaven — Seminarian Coin Drive

Each Lent, our council runs a coin drive supporting seminarians in the Diocese of Birmingham as they study for the priesthood. Parishioners collect spare change, cash, or checks in canisters and return them at Mass — with Prince of Peace Catholic School students joining in too. Every donation helps offset the real cost of education for these future priests.
